Discovering the inner beauty of wood

Hardly any product made from a natural resource is as diverse and versatile as wood veneer. The unique properties of wood, such as color and texture, are brought out by the modern veneer production process, which involves cutting the log into thin layers. Unlike solid wood that is sawn, veneer allows for optimal utilization of the log without any losses during sawing. There are different ways to cut a log. Each method produces a different pattern and can be cut to different thicknesses. The standard thickness is 0.6 mm. The veneer retains the natural look and feel of natural wood, as well as its unique properties, showing true variations in color and pattern.

What types of veneers are there?

• Натуральний шпон. Цей шпон йде у виробництво саме в тому вигляді, в якому був злущений або зрізаний з деревиної колоди.
• Реконструйований шпон або файн-лайн шпон. У його виробництві використовуються такі технології, як формування та пресування м’яких порід деревини для імітації властивостей твердіших порід.  

What types of wood are used for veneer?

For the production of natural and colored veneers, hardwoods are used: oak, cherry, larch, walnut, and ash.

There is also natural softwood veneer, but it is used only in the least critical areas of production. Softwoods are more often used for the production of fine-line or reconstructed veneers; the result is a product with properties that are not inferior to natural veneer.

Application of veneer

Natural or fine-line veneer is used for interior decoration in various design segments. It is ideal for residential projects, hotel projects, offices, and much more. In addition, veneer is used to create various products, such as parquet, stairs, steps. This material is also used in the manufacture of furniture, doors, elements of musical instruments and musical equipment, radio equipment cases, decorative work (inlay), as well as for the manufacture of delta wood and sports equipment for snowboards and skateboards. Veneer is also used for interior and exterior decoration of yachts and car interiors.
